Dr. Nyenze Muindi is a consultant ophthalmologist with more than 12 years of experience as an eye specialist and 6 years of experience as a sub-specialist in oculoplastics/ orbit.

He graduated as a medical doctor at Moi University in the year 2001 after which he worked as a general practitioner at the then Coast Province for 3 years. He later joined the Masters of Medicine Program at the University of Nairobi and graduated in the year 2007. As he was pursuing his master’s degree, he also excelled in the International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO) exams. He later also excelled in the fellowship exams for East African College of Ophthalmology (now College of Ophthalmologists of Eastern, Central, and Southern Africa, COECSA). He further pursued sub-specialist training in oculoplastics and orbit in the leading eye hospitals in India (LV Prasad Eye Institute and Aravind Eye Hospital.

Dr. Nyenze worked as an ophthalmologist at Garissa Provincial General Hospital and Muranga District before settling down at the current engagements as both a lecturer at the Department of Ophthalmology, University of Nairobi and consultant at Maxivision Eye clinic. ‘
